What we text

When someone gives the gift of The Golden Version, the person receiving it gets one text from us asking if they would like to begin. If they reply YES, we place a weekly phone call with one question about their life. After that we only reply if they text us. We never send marketing or promotional texts.

How consent works

The person giving the gift enters the storyteller's mobile number on our order page and confirms they have told the storyteller and have their permission. No call happens, and no further text is sent, unless the storyteller replies YES. By replying YES, the storyteller agrees to receive these messages from The Golden Version.

The text they receive

"The Golden Version: Hello Mary. Anna has given you a gift through The Golden Version. Once a week, one question about your life by phone, so your stories can be kept for your family. There is no wrong answer. This is the only text we send to ask. Reply YES to begin, or STOP and we will never contact you again. Msg&data rates may apply. Help: reply HELP."

How often

One permission text per person. After YES, one confirmation text. After that, replies only when they text us.

Stopping and help

Reply STOP at any time and we stop all texts and calls and never contact them again. Reply HELP for help, or write to info@thegoldenversion.com. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
